Roger Dennis Grigsby, 69, of Cross Lanes passed away September 11, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family.



Roger was a retired Operator with South Charleston Waste Treatment. Roger was an Army Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Roger enjoyed spending time at home with his grand-daughter, Eden. Roger collected model cars (miniatures), built garages and sheds, loved a good bonfire, and was dedicated to his family.

Roger was a retired Operator with South Charleston Waste Treatment. Roger was an Army Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Roger enjoyed spending time at home with his grand-daughter, Eden. Roger collected model cars (miniatures), built garages and sheds, loved a good bonfire, and was dedicated to his family.



Preceded in death by parents, Ofra Willard and Gladys Grey Grigsby; son, William Kent Wilson Jr; brother-in-law, Tommy Dingess Sr.; brother, Kenneth Grigsby; and a sister, Eleanor Jean “Sissy” Lilly.



Left to cherish his memory are loving wife, Karen Ann Mick Grigsby; daughters, Jacki Lynn Johnson (Jeff), Traci Lea Gullett, and Jeanne Annette Tucker (Danny); sister, Lois Dingess; special brother-in-law, Kenny Mick (Jan); lifelong friend, David Green; daughter-in-law, Sirena Wilson; 17 ½ grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.



Service will be 1pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Pastor Tom Rowland officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.



A gathering of family and friends will be two hours before the service at the funeral home.



In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
